Sharp Lcd TV Sales to Rise
On Tuesday Sharp announced via the Dow Jones that it expects slightly higher sales of LCD TV units for the current fiscal year than it expected. Sharp initially target 15 million units for this period however they are now expecting this figure to be exceeded. They have put this rise in sales down to the fact that they have been operating with a government subsidy program which has supported domestic demand. This is excellent news for the company, the industry and the economy. They have also announced that they expect a further 10% rise in sales of LCD TV units in the next fiscal year. They are due to see the end of the domestic government subsidy in March which will see a drop in domestic sales but they still predict good growth in external markets.
This shows that Sharp is growing its presence in the market and that there is strong demand for new products. A spokesperson for the company said "we will aggressively seek growth in China and other overseas markets, this will more than make up for any decline in domestic sales". These words are very confident that their product will grow as expected next year. If companies like Sharp are predicting strong growth this must show good signs for economic growth.

Whilst the company is clearly targeting the Chinese market as the world is so tight knit in 2011 any growth in the Eastern markets will surely bring prosperity to the West. This also shows that Sharp is making a demand product for the LCD TV market. This is excellent news for the consumer, having a larger choice of top models will bring further competition. Where there is fierce competition there is the competitive pressure to reduce cost. The reduction of cost vastly benefits the consumer as each brands fights for market share.
Reading from the Sharp website you can clearly get a picture of where they want their company to go. The sight states the companies guiding principle is honesty and creativity which can be seen in their product design. It also states their goal is to improve the quality of people's lives through state of the art technologies.
We think its excellent news not only for Sharp that their LCD TV arm is doing so well. We hope they continue to grow and push their presence in the UK. This will surely benefit the UK economy and consumers as a whole.
Why does my sharp lcd aquos tv black out the bottom half of the screen sometimes?
If I change the channel or hit one of the display buttons it returns to a normal full screen. It only started doing this in the last 2 day. I am wondering if it will get worse. I have only had the tv about one year.

Help! Integrated Freeview Telly?
I've just bought an Sharp LCD Aquos TV with integrated freeview. Does anyone know how to tune into Freeview? Many thanks for your help!
Hi! Yes - it has a manual but nothing about tuning it for freeview. This is what I have done so far:
Clicked DTV on the remote
Clicked menu
Chose setup
Chose channels
At this point it automatically tunes the tv but it will only pick up terrestrial tv. I have even been back to the shop and these are the instructions they have given me but still no luck - do I need a different aerial? I have even been on www.freeview.co.uk It just says plug it into the socket, plug it into the aerial and thats it! Maybe I've bought a duff tv???

How do I enable HDMI out from my HP laptop to my HD LCDTV?
I have an HP pavillion dv9000 with Windows XP. The laptop has an HDMI output. How do I enable it so I can run my PC on the LCD screen( I have 42" Sharp LCD Aquos). I tried simply plugging an HDMI cable from the laptop to the tv with no success. Is there some function on the PC that will feed the audio/video to my TV? Or will only certain programs utilize this feature.
Thanks to any help!!
