Audio on HD channels much lower than SD channels? (Answers: 2) (Comments: 0)
I have eight Sharp Aquos televisions at my bar running off of eight independent DirecTV boxes. When at full volume, each of the televisions are DEAFENING on SD channels but, when playing an HD channel, your mobile phone ring over the TV. This applies to when the sound is coming through the TV speakers or over the surround sound system. I have checked all possible settings on the TV and I am at a loss. Thanks for your help. "TV Tech 1", I will check those out later. Football just started so i can't screw around with it now. Thanks for the tips. At the very least, I want to try everything before I start complaining to Sharp and/or DTV

Why is my HD TV not as clear as other TVs? (Answers: 3) (Comments: 0)
I currently have a 46" Sharp Aquos television, which is supposively one of the clearest televisions on the market. My cable is iO digital cable with an HD cable box, which is set to 1080i (the highest it can go up to). Although this is much clearer than the regular definition channels, it is not comparable to HD channels other LG and Sony televisions that friend's have, which are not as expensive or better rated televisions. I just am asking why and how can I fix this? If it is the television (once again, Sharp Aquos 46"), but it is not iO digital cable because my friends have that as well. Other info that may help: I don't know why, but when I go to an HD channel I have black bars above and below the picture (making the screen widescreen.) I could hit zoom on my television to make the picture fit the whole screen, but the clarity is not as clear. My friend, however, does not have to hit zoom but automatically does not have these black bars. He said he used to but found a way to get rid of them. I'm thinking that may be a lead, but am not sure. Thanks for all the help in advance. NEW INFO: I have recently looked into the answers I have been given so far and found that I have used the HDMI plug, therefore not using the YPbPr/V wires. Also, changing my View Mode is incorrect, as I kept it on the default S. Stretch. I can make the picture much bigger, and much less clear, by going to Zoom. This distorts the picture, however, and is not as great quality. I'm starting to think that maybe I'm just being picky, as it is a good television.. but I just don't understand how random, unknown televisions my friends picked out are such greater quality than the well known Sharp Aquos, which was hyped up to be one of the best televisions on the market. Most solutions are appreciated.
