Samsung 50" 1080p 600Hz Plasma HDTV Review: Model PN50C550G1F
The big fan favorite and award winning brand in HDTVs, Samsung, which has brought us some dazzling LCD displays in recent years has decided to release their very own beautiful new 600Hz Plasma screen. This new refresh rate brought to these new Samsung Plasma screens is simply nothing other than breathtaking.
Features: This Samsung HDTV has really almost every hallmark of current features you could ask for in a new Plasma screen. The resolution is in full 1080p which will fully showcase the highest pixel count for high definition content. Images look crisp and full of density in detail. You can literally see strands of hairs and ripples of water with such clarity you will be surprised that this HDTV does not have a higher pixel count. The progressive scan in Samsung digital televisions is second to none; all of the movements on screen are captured without flicker or strange artifacts due to poor pixel tracing in the scan mode. All new for Samsung is this latest shift to 600Hz in their refresh rate. It is so fast in fact that it has been measured all the way down to the equivalency of 0.001 milliseconds. This is leaps ahead of most of the competition out there in the market place. This increase in speed allows the screen to display fast-paced action sequences and rapid changes in images to show a very fluid transition without frames appearing like staggered blocks of data moving across the screen. When watching the motion on the screen it is almost like literally watching the fluidity of the real-life motions of people and objects. What is best about the Samsung brand is their richness of color they put on their HDTVs. This new screen uses Samsung's special E3-Panel which increases the dynamic range of color. This new Plasma screen has such a great color engine that the range and saturation of color can be so vivid that it seems images are jumping out of the screen compared to other high-definition televisions. In addition to adding to the color spectrum, this new screen filter has technology which changes the dynamics on the screen to minimize glare or reflections in your surrounding environment. The audio in this HDTV is fairly good. Included with the unit are 10 watt internal stereo speakers. These have a pretty nice sound due to the fact that it has SRS TruSurround which improves the sense of depth to the sound, keeping the audio from sounding tiny or too limited in its dynamic range. The design of this HDTV is excellent and it is some of the best I have seen in any consumer high-definition TVs on the market. A very sleek and slim black bezel of equal thickness and length all around each side of the screen. At the bottom of the set is the signature Samsung Touch of Color ambient light which gives the television a very elegant and high-tech look. My Samsung HDTV 1080p DLP rear projection TV now hums. What is wrong?
I just moved and am hoping that it didn't get damaged. Everything else seems to work fine with it. When I am watching it, I can hear a hum. It gets louder as I turn the volume up, and it gets softer as the volume goes down. If I pause whatever I am watching, it continues to hum. It is incredibly annoying and distracting. Hitting the mute button is the only way to silence the noise. I have also changed cable companies from Time Warner to Cox. Could that possibly have anything to do with it? Through Time Warner I had two volumes I could adjust--a TV volume and a cable volume. Now with Cox I only seem to have 1 volume. Lastly, my 18-month old nephew decided to push a bunch of buttons on the TV, so I am wondering if he may have done something, too. I am NOT a techie and just want this fixed. What to do? It is a 61" so taking it to get serviced would be very difficult.

Samsung HDTV 1080p picture goes dead after switching on?
After switching the TV on, the picture appears for about a second, then the screen goes dead, I can still hear the sound but the screen is dead.
Any idea what this can be? All the wires are connected right. It worked when i left home in the morning, and when i got back from work it didn't.

My new Samsung HDTV?
Ok, so i just got a new Samsung HDTV 1080P Series 6 (46inches)
The Picture quality is very poor, i was wondering if there is anyway to make the quality better.
i got a new cable box, a HD CABLE BOX, and it didnt really help, the HD channels make the screen smaller, which still doesnt look good.
Is there ANYWAY to tune it to a nice quality?
