A plasma TV has the facility to let you see the television from any place that you want in the room. There are many sizes and features that you will find in Pioneer plasma TV. When you buy a Pioneer plasma TV you get to experience the high quality that Pioneer has brought to its plasma TVs.

A Pioneer plasma TV is designed to take advantage of the high definition technology that is currently being used. Pioneer plasma TVs are equipped to show an improved amount of accuracy in their television color.

The brightness levels that are present with a Pioneer plasma TV are comparable to the other plasma models and brands of plasma TVs. The various plasma TVs that Pioneer have developed are capable of delivering a technology that staves off video noise.

This technology is called Pure Drive. This technology accomplishes more than just reducing video external sounds. The Pure Drive technology from a Pioneer plasma TV also makes sure that all other noises from your television and other sounds that are made by the electrical items that are used for your DVD, camcorder and even karaoke system are eliminated.

The use of the Pure Drive technology ensures that you have lasting satisfaction from your Pioneer plasma TV. With this technology the various analog to digital and digital to analog signal conversions that are used to produce high definition images will be reduced to only the amount that is absolutely necessary.

This limited signal conversion makes sure that the video and graphic signals are processed without any undue length of time for the signal to reach the decoder and transmit an image to the display screen.

Unlike most of the other brands of plasma TVs the creators of Pioneer plasma TV models make their plasma models in house. This basically means that each and every plasma TV that is manufactured by Pioneer has been developed and designed in the Pioneer Company itself.

When you choose a Pioneer plasma TV you will not just get great viewing and high quality sound and true to life images, you will also have a source for lasting entertainment. A Pioneer plasma TV will prove that you have chosen a wise investment time and time again as you watch television.

For Auto Channel Preset on Pioneer Plasma TV, what is difference in result between selecting "Cable" or "Air"? (Answers: 3) (Comments: 1)
I just purchased a Pioneer Plasma TV. I am connecting the cable outlet from the wall directly to the TV. However, I do not have a cable box. I want to use the "Auto Channel Preset" feature to determine the channels with actual content. When I go through the on-screen menu to set this up, it asks whether I am using a "cable" connection or an "air" connection. What is the difference in the result if I were to specify one versus the other? Am I likely to end up with more channels if I select "Air" or if I select "Cable", or the same?

Panasonic finally adds Netflix streaming to VIERA Cast equipped 2010 HDTVs & ...

10 Sep 2010 at 7:47am  To the last person on Earth (that reads this site) who can't already stream Netflix to their home theater in at least four different ways: if you have a 2010 Panasonic HDTV or Blu-ray player your sometime is now, as the video streaming widget originally promised way back during CES should have recently shown up in a software update. You'll find it in the VIERA Cast menu next to existing tools like Amazon VOD, Skype and Pandora (pictured above) unless of course you're sporting one of last year's models, which are sadly and inexplicably left wanting. If there's any confusion, peep the press release after the break to make sure your specific model made the cut, we'll be double checking for a 5.1 audio option on any of our Watch Instantly movies, again.

[Thanks, Justin]

Intel CEO reveals Google TV launch is this month, explains McAfee purchase

9 Sep 2010 at 4:46pm  Today's Wall Street Journal has a few key words from Intel CEO Paul Otellini, with a few comparing his company's Google TV approach to the refreshed (and now Intel-free) Apple TV. The biggest revelation is a mention that Google TV will start shipping this month (more specific than Google's own fall prediction of a few days ago) with no word whether that includes products from Sony, Logitech or both. According to Otellini, Intel's success will mean using "the right chip for the right job," and that includes getting its hands dirty on the software side, where he claims his company is responsible for 50% of the code in Google TV. When asked about Apple's simplified approach to the living room he referenced them as two different approaches that may appeal to different audiences, pointing out Apple TV as something his mother might enjoy while his son could make use of Facebook on the Google TV.

Oh, and the $7.68 billion Intel dropped on McAfee last month? He considers it a "valuable asset" and says the best security relies on a combination of hardware and software. The theme of the day is how Intel can compete beyond the PC, but whether it's tethered to the TV or in tablets, the head guy is confident Intel's industry partners won't let Apple run away with either.

Denon's AVR-4311CI to gain AirPlay compatibility this fall -- that easy, huh?

9 Sep 2010 at 12:46pm  Here's an interesting tidbit. Denon's admittedly pricey AVR-4311CI -- which was introduced in late April -- may very well end up being the first major product to gain iTunes AirPlay compatibility retroactively. Yeah, retroactively. According to an updated product listing, the AVR will see a "planned upgrade" in the fall of 2010 that will "provide Apple iTunes AirPlay compatibility [that will let you] stream your favorite music to the AVR-4311CI." Now, we already knew that Denon was a partner of both Apple and BridgeCo (the enabling company behind AirPlay), but this is first mention of any existing product receiving a simple upgrade (firmware, we're guessing) that would add support for Apple's newly touted streaming feature. In other words, this may mean that hundreds, if not thousands, of AirPlay compatible devices are already on the market, and just as soon as Apple and / or BridgeCo green-lights the respective firmware updates, home entertainment systems everywhere may gain support for a protocol that wasn't even public before last week. Here's hoping, right?

[Thanks, Ben]

Pioneer shares affordable line of speakers, snobs sob

9 Sep 2010 at 12:24pm  After releasing a bevy of value-packed Elite receivers, iPod Docks, and Blu-ray players in recent months, Pioneer has now announced a new line of entry-level speakers just in time for man cave upgrade season. Consisting of the SP-DS21-LR and smaller SP-BS41-LR bookshelf monitor, the SP-FS51-LR floor standing mini tower, the SP-C21 center channel, and SW-8 sub, the entire line is on sale now at selected retailers for a reasonable $79 to $199 depending on the component. Despite these wallet-friendly price tags though, all of the speakers sport higher-end details like radio frequency bonded, curved cabinets, improved multi-component crossovers, and gold-plated five-way binding posts -- which seems to fall nicely in line with Pioneer's recent recession-appropriate bang for your buck approach. In case that idea alone wasn't enough to make audiophiles roll over in their acoustically-perfect coffins, Pioneer's release also says the speaker packaging will feature QR barcodes that, when scanned, will direct consumers to YouTube videos of lead designer Andrew Jones discussing the new line. Luckily for you, we've embedded the video along with the full PR after the break, so you can skip the unnecessary mobile hassle and get straight to the unintentional laughs.

Zotac introduces ID33 and ID34 Zbox mini PCs, complete with Atom D525 and Blu...

8 Sep 2010 at 8:57pm  Now this is an HTPC worth gawking at. Zotac has just revised its long-standing Zbox line with a new duo, and we have to say -- we're digging the new look. Beyond the exterior improvements, the outfit has bolstered the internals by providing the HD-ID33 and HD-ID34 with Intel's new 1.8GHz Atom D525 CPU, 2GB of DDR2-800 memory, NVIDIA's next-gen Ion graphics platform, an HDMI output, 6-in-1 card reader, gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a couple of USB 2.0 ports and an unexpected pair of USB 3.0 sockets. The only notable difference between the two is the inclusion of a 250GB hard drive in the ID34, while the 2.5-inch HDD slot is left open for DIYers in the ID33. Windows 7 is onboard, naturally, as is a slot-loading Blu-ray drive that the company is (rightfully) proud of. It's not talking prices just yet, but we're willing to overlook a modest premium to finally get BD support within a delightfully small package. Hit the gallery below for more eye candy.
