Pioneer BDP-320 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player Reviews

I have a Pioneer BDP-320 blu-ray disc player connected to a Pioneer Kuro PDP-5020FD HDTV. Set-up was very fast with most of the parameters is automatic between the two Pioneer. The only manual I had to do with the BDP-320 has been set at the exit of Source Direct.

The Pioneer BDP-320 for de-interlacing was lower than the Kuro. Hot Fuzz, which I used as a test DVD and 320 products over the edges white Metropolitan Police logo on the jacket is black. Change Source Direct dispelled any artifacts and makes the best DVD picture on my Kuro yet. Some other materials on DVD (LOTR), I found the best image ever since the BDP-320 is upconverting and PDP-5020FD-east of the intersection. However, the BDP-320 offers the flexibility to get the best possible image of your installation.

The sound quality of the BD using the optical digital output is greatly improved over the DVD. There is a greater definition bass frequency, and it seems that sound investment is more clearly defined. These observations are subjective, but I was surprised to see the difference. This makes me more likely to upgrade my receiver to a newer model that is able to handle the loss of most audio formats HDMI.

Although the BDP-320 is my first BDP, from what I can say that is not a great improvement over the previous model BDP-51FD Pioneers. The owners are asking twice the load, the picture quality, sound quality DVDs and change the response level are almost identical. The improvement in the BDP-320 is a small frame, increasing the size of ROM (for engineers from Pioneer firmware so good for you), out-of-the-box for DTS HD MA, much compatibility and built in BD BD-Live is included with 1 GB of memory and LAN. I hope that the BDP-320's biggest ROM allows future firmware updates for its past to push the performance of the BDP-51FD.

Both with The Dark Night with BD-Live
Power off to open the tray - 27s
Press the drawer next to the WB logo - 42s
Press plateau near the beginning of the film - 1m.53s

I am very happy with my purchase, but was surprised by the fact that the loading times not improved over the Pioneer BDP-51. (Okay, I was very pleased with the BDP-320, but the DVD layer change is not acceptable. The BDP-320 has been returned and Oppo BDP-83 is its replacement.)

The player of the quality of construction is solid and strong. The picture quality is the best I've seen on my PDP-5020. Any person who requires a lot of comic books has not improved on the DVD is not right. While the DVD looks nice, BD is significantly improved in both depth of color, black level, and simply having a higher pixel.

The BDP-320 long-PQ / SQ of DBP-51FD is one of the best players on the market. I suggest reading the comments of the BDP-51FD and taking into account the improvement of the BDP-320.

Disney makes Alice in Wonderland, Bolt Blu-ray 3D discs Sony exclusives this ...

8 Sep 2010 at 8:09am  Another day, another exclusive Blu-ray 3D deal. This time it's Disney, opting to align its Alice in Wonderland and Bolt movies with Sony products over the holiday season as the two team up on "consumer and retail education, promotion and marketing support for in-home 3D devices and content." That means buyers of Sony 3D TVs and Blu-ray players may have one of the above as a pack-in, while everyone else waits 'til the unspecified time when they're released at retail. Hear that? That's the sound of 3D early adopters queueing up Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs for the umpteenth time, camping out in line for Monster House next week or wildly overpaying for pack in/ overseas only 3D releases on eBay. As it stands, the year's slate of unbundled releases is otherwise blank beyond A Christmas Carol and Resident Evil, here's hoping it doesn't stay that way long. More details are in the press release after the break.

Loewe shows off new Connect LEDs, wallets cringe

8 Sep 2010 at 3:23am  hd.engadget.com/2010/09/08/loewe-shows-off-new-connect-leds-wallets-cringe/ Ultra high-end German television maker Loewe revealed at IFA that its 32-inch and 42-inch Connect LED line will be refreshed with 200Hz edge LED backlit panels and improved MediaNet connectivity. Specifically MediaNet has been revamped to feature a new LAN interface for streaming local video or audio content on the TV's integrated DVR as well as from DLNA compatible devices and online sources. A so-called "Follow Me" feature is another handy addition that allows users to easily transfer a program in progress from TV to another display for completion -- which should prove useful to shipping magnates who prefer passing out to Titanic in bed after starting in the jacuzzi. Trusted Reviews also reports that Loewe, along with Sharp and Philips, is promoting web-based services built on CE-HTML that are optimized for TV displays, and even demoed a version of the BBC's iPlayer using the technology behind closed doors. Style-wise, the luxury set will ship in three colors along with a choice of stand and a 2.1 speaker setup when it hits the UK this November. Official pricing however still unknown, but don't expect to find it at Asda.
