What is HDTV?

HDTV stands for High Definition Television. It is fully digitalized. The major differences that differentiates HDTV from other standard TV are

To receive HDTV broadcast you need either a TV with a built-in HDTV tuner, a HDTV receiver and cable HDTV or satellite HDTV receiver like Dish Network HDTV.

How do I get a better over the air HDTV Signal?
I have a Philips HDTV antenna which lets me get over the air HDTV channels. However, some of the channels come in great (Fox), but others come in awful (CBS). What equipment do I need to purchase to let me get some of these channels better? Or do any tips exist that I can do to improve my current signal without having to purchase a new item. Please let me know. I appreciate your help. - Thanks

Philips HDTV antenna coax "pin" is too fat for the hole in my Magnavox DTV converter "antenna in" jack?
I thought all that stuff was standard !!!! Has anyone else had this problem? Is there an adaptor for this kind of thing ? Super weird. They're both brand new....just bought them. The converter box and antenna were both bought brand new today at Walmart in Richmond, VA. I don't think there's anything international involved, but thanks for the info on that. Well, let me clarify....considering both the antenna and the converter were made in China and have as much Spanish written on the packaging as English, I guess I can't say there's nothing international ! (haha) But as far as I know they are both intended for use in the US.
