Is DSLR considered a DV or HDV?
I shot a few video clips on a Canon 60D, and I don't know which to choose in the preferences of the editing software. Is it considered DV or HDV ? ----edit: Hey, thanks for all the answers. I'm actually using Adobe Premiere Pro for my edit but I had to compress the MOV files before importing as it was really choppy when I play it while editing.. However I went with the HDV option.. :/ still kinda confused though

video not importing properly from mini dv into imovie 09?
Trying to import from Canon HV40 into IMovie 09. Footage recorded wth camera in "Program AE' Mode and HDV setting loads fine. However, footage recorded in 'Cine Mode' on HDV 24F setting creates some sort of delay where the sound and picture are out of sync. Am I doing something wrong? Is there a work around? Brand new camera but I am use to working with mini DV. Would I be better off with flash memory? I am trying to create the best quality video possible. Thanks for your help.

Problems importing .m2v files into Adobe Premiere (PC, Windows)?
I'm using a Canon Legria HV40, HDV video camera. After I've recorded a video sequence, I convert it to .m2v, the only digital format I can choose in Pinnacle Studio's "import from camera" feature. The problem is that the .m2v-files can't be imported in Adobe Premiere on my PC (Premiere errors: "the file has an unsupported compression type"). If I switch to my Macbook, there are no such errors in Premiere and the .m2v file is editable. So my question is: How do I get .m2v files to work on my PC? Codecs, if so, which ones? I'm tired of transferring files between my PC and Mac to edit video, so please help me out. Thanks in advance. Daniel
