The AQUOS BD-HP20U offers full digital 1080p - 1920 x 1080, 24 fps video output, and features a built-in HDMI 1.3 digital inputs AV interface that can be connected to an AQUOS LCD HDTV. Through the HDMI cable connection, AQUOS LINK enables integrated and seamless operation between the Blu-ray disc player and AQUOS LCD TVs. HDMI-connected products can be controlled through the AQUOS screen with a single TV remote, with the remote also provides Power On/Off control of the Blu-ray disc player and the AQUOS TV. The Sharp AQUOS BD-HP20U Blu-ray Disc Player also offers a multi-channel audio output via HDMI by decoding Dolby TrueHD, for Dolby TrueHD lossless audio that delivers sound that is similar to the studio master. It also decodes Dolby Digital Plus which provides optimum surround sound to the receiver, and via HDMI, the BD-HP20U player outputs 7.1 Channel digital audio. As you would expect, the BD player is compatible with BD-ROM/RE/R, DVD Video, DVD-RW/R, DVD+RW/R, and Audio CD formats, plus DVDs are upscaled via HDMI to 1080p for improved picture and performance. You can enjoy the best of 1080p video on your Sharp AQUOS HDTV. Especially designed to work with AQUOS LCD TVs, the BD-HP20U AQUOS Blu-Ray Disc player provides seamless operation via the "AQUOS LINK" function, through the HDMI connection. It performs as if it were all one system, the BD-HP20U's Quick Start feature lets you begin enjoying gorgeous Blu-ray Disc video with the touch of a button in less than 10 seconds. The BD-HP20U provides outstanding versatility and is compatible with a wide variety of formats including BD-ROM/RE/R, DVD Video, DVD-RW/R and DVD+RW/R. Also, the BD-HP20U plays audio CDs as well. With eight terminal outputs including HDMI inputs and 1080p as well as DVD up-conversion to 1080p, you'll enjoy full digital high-definition video and high-fidelity audio.
