For a 1080i HDTV, it might look slightly sharper than component video will look, and definitely much better than S-video or composite video. Someone else said it made no difference for their Wii, but this is because Wii is only capable of 480p, whereas PS3 is capable of 1080p.

- It will make your ps3 have both HD visual and audio streamed to your tv, if that is what you were asking. it will make it in HD quality like you want.HDMI is HD and it also has the audio with it, so it's a really good thing

Technically, yes. Can you "see" the difference? Doubtful. Not unless you have a 55 inch (or larger) television and you sit right in front of it.........then you might see the difference. - you wont believe your eyes when you see HD - its amazing!

- well i bought one for my wii and it didnt make at all a difference so i dont think its worth it. Hope that helped
