Show me another »How much should I spend on an HDMI cable for my PS3?
I don't want to splurge on an expensive cable if it's not going to enhance my gameplay. I want to get the cheapest cable possible that will allow me to get the best picture from the monitor I have. I am using a Coby 19" widescreen lcd hdtv/monitor that supports 720i, 720p, and 1080i.

You don't need to get an expensive one, as long as you don't need a very long cable.
HDMI cables transmit a digital signal, which means they basically either work or don't work (it's not like analog signals where there can be variable quality).
The more expensive cable sometimes have better insulation between the different pins inside the cable, which reduces interference between them, but it's not really worth spending silly amounts for that, especially on a 19 inch monitor.
These expensive cables are really just to con people who don't know any better.
You can basically buy any HDMI cable as long as it's not from some dodgy company.

- Try Tigerdirect.com they have a lot of computer/electronic parts. Any HDMI will work, as long as you dont spend below $8.00 or above $30.00 you should be safe, there I found a 16ft for $20.00

My knowledge0% 0 Votes - You can buy an HDMI cable for the PS3 at Walmart or Target for 39.99 and I think its an official cable. But since you are going to use it for that little monitor I would stick with the HD component cables if the monitor supports them.0% 0 Votes
- Well it depends on how long you want your cords. They are $30-40 for more shorter. And $50-60 for longer. But it is better to buy HDMI cables that are the same brand as your tv.0% 0 Votes
