The exact model is the VP503 50" Vizio HDTV.
I'm wondering what the width is because the 50" is just the screen and its diagonal and i need an exact for my cloths drawer (56 1/2 inches)

- You should ask this in the math department.
If you use the pythagorean theorem, and assume the aspect ratio is 16:9, then the width comes out to 40 inches, with the height being 30 inches.
I won't swear to god I have the math right though.
Or you could google your tv set instead I suppose.
But yeah, I have noticed in the past that these tv makers seem to feel like the actual width of their screens isn't worth telling anybody about.
Btw, actually I'm sure your tv is probably at least a couple inches over 40" wide, because the 50" diagonal supposedly just refers to the actual display diagonal, without the tv frame that surrounds the screen figured in. In case you're building a cabinet or something...
edit: Ah, I did do the math wrong. It's actually about 43.6" x 24.5"
