Is there a digital turner converter box that will work as good as a built in HDTV turner in HDTVs?

My Olevia 26" HDTV can pull in more channels, including some of the scramble cable TV channels. By comparsion, I have tried two different digital turner boxes, but they could not pull in all the channels, especially the scramble ones. Do you know of one that will work as good as most HDTVs.

Are you connecting your converter box to a cable TV service. It's not designed for that. You shouldn't need a converter box for cable serevice. It's designed to receive digital signals off the air and convert them to analog signals for a conventional TV. A digital converter box isn't designed to unscramble channels that are scrambled and won't do that. The converter box also changes the picture to analog mode for a conventional TV and won't look as good as the same picture displayed directly from it digital format on a hi-def TV. Some of the digital converter boxes and supposed to be more sensitive than others as far as receiving the signals, but I don't know which brand might be better and which worse. I have a Zenith and it does a fine job.

Thanks for the input. I also own the Zenith converter box, but it work does not work as good my HDTV's built-in digital turner. How come the HDTV's digital turner works a lot better than the converter boxes? I just don't get it. I need one for my old Panasonic 32 " analog TV
