Additional Details

"Full HD" is, as I understand it and should be clear enough in the question, 1080p.

    Hi

This site http://www.hdtvorg.co.uk/ is one of the best independant HDTV sites around with plenty of great reviews.

However, you should take the time to read through all the news stuff as well and you may well decide that now is not the time to buy any HDTV due to a lot of imminent changes in the technology and pricing of HDTVs.

And to the guy above me who got the Philips 32" in Currys for 500 quid and believes it is the newest model and the best about.........ROFL !!!!!!!!!!!

Can you define "Full HD"? I bet you can't. It is a meaningless salesman's "puff". You'll notice lots of people will ramble on about it but they really don't understand the HD system.

All sets sold on this side of the Atlantic Ocean are "HD Ready", whatever the adveriser or salesman may say.

HD Ready means that it will display pictures according to the HD standard (1080i/720p/50Hz) and is equipped with an HDMI input socket. (see link to the BBC site for more info.)

See the link below for more details about which sets qualify.

There are no HD transmissions on Freeview or Terrestrial digital channels yet. This means that all television sets have to recieve their HD input from either a Sky/Virgin box or a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD player.

That's why they are only "HD Ready".
