Will a 32" HDTV LCD TV with PC input work good enough for a graphic design professional?

I’m considering killing two birds with one stone. I would like to upgrade my tv and also my pc monitor. I’m a graphic designer and I also play video games (console and PC) frequently. Will purchasing a 32”/37” LCD TV be good for both work AND play? Or should I keep both separate? Please advise…

I think that's a WISE CHOICE you have made.....

YES the LCD TV is perfect for graphic design, because it is True WYSIWYG!

There is no distortion of the signal since it is not Analog nor is there any Width/Height/Linearity adjustments to LCD!

Now, the KEY POINT YOU NEED is this.....LOOK at the NATIVE RESOLUTION of the LCD...(Bestbuy.com provides this right on the list of TVs they sell)....Try to get what fits your computer video card...a 1920 x 1280 card in 60 Hz refresh rate will work with a 1080i or P TV......

Get a Sony LCD and nothing from walmart.

Should work great. Thats what I use at my TV shop is a 23" Toshiba LCD HDTV with a PC monitor.

also to add to the other answers, i would recommend not going too big, but it all depends on how far you are sitting from your TV when you do your design work. if you will be sitting at a desk with your TV on it, then i wouldn't go much bigger than 20-25". any larger and its pretty hard on your eyes. I did it with a 31" and needless to say I eventually had to mount the tv on the wall and move away from it
