I have a 1080p HDTV monitor currently. Will I see much of a difference with DVI/DVI vs DVI/HDMI cable connection to my monitor? My graphics card came with a DVI/HDMI adapter. Would that be the same DVI/HDMI cable, if I use that and a HDMI cable?

Will SD channels mess up my HDTV?
I recently bought a 1080p HDTV monitor, although I had to return it because a permanent line appeared across the top of the screen. I got the same one though because I thought it was a TV defect. I only have SD cable through Comcast, I use a digital box though a little one they send you through the mail. The TV displays the picture in widescreen which leaves two black spaces above the picture, this is about where the permanent line occurred on the top before. Can using SD cause any problems with the TV, or am I being paranoid? It is displaying in 16:9, I have options for zoom 1, zoom 2, pan and scan, and 4:3.... Thanks!
